Yosel Coller

Yosel Coller

What was it like for you to know you were never truly safe, that you always had to look at for Soldiers and such and hope you make it through everyday?

Was it traumatizing for you and your other siblings, being so young, to walk the streets and see Jews being hung?

Was its scary for you when you got deported from the ghetto to the Fuerstengrube labor camp in Poland and how did you feel having to work in the mines, gathering loose coal and putting it into wagons?

When the Soldiers told you on January 1945 that you were one of many prisoners force-marched towards northern Germany what went through your head, were you afraid of death?

Why were you liberated by the British, how did you get to America, was any of your family let free too?
